How it works

  1. 01

    Your bike, decoded

Each bike is stored as the mechanical standards it uses: bottom bracket shell, freehub body, axles, brake and rotor mounts, seatpost, headset, derailleur hanger.

  2. 02

    Parts, decoded too

Every part is tagged with the standards it fits. A part only shows up when it fits every standard it depends on.

  3. 03

    Buy with confidence

Compare shops for each part. Always double-check against your own bike — components are sometimes swapped mid-season.

Why this tool exists

As an avid cyclist, finding clear compatibility details for routine maintenance and consumables like chains, cassettes and tyres was a constant challenge. Tired of sifting through fragmented spec sheets and conflicting forum threads, I built a dedicated lookup tool from scratch.

It works like the automotive lookups that match a licence plate to the parts that fit. Bikes are harder: there is no single vehicle identifier, and standards for hub spacing, freehub profiles and mounts keep shifting. FitMyBike maps your exact bike to those standards, then to the parts that fit them.
